"To relax (remittere) the mind, is to lose (amittere) it" -Musonius Rufus

My mind cannot get out of breath. It doesn't ache as my muscles do after hard labor. If I am to achieve some semblance of virtue and live happily I must keep my mind engaged in the labor of virtue that I am on. Always vigilant lest I "lose it", or have it overtaken by lesser thoughts or impulses. Today, all actions must spring from my concious reason and not about base judgments. Today I will practice my discipline of Stoic will and not relax it even for a brief moment.
